Tungsram’s facility and property management software ArchiFM may soon be able to manage some of the most impressive architectural wonders of the modern world, as Tungsram Innovative Solutions (TIS) has recently signed a partnership agreement with Middle East software giant Gulf Software Distribution (GSD). GSD, a subsidiary of Gulf Business Machines (GBM) will help us extend ArchiFM’s reach in Bahrein, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and UAE. “The Middle East is a particularly distinctive market for us,” explained TIS general manager Peter Hrobar, “so we wanted to make sure that we partner with a distributor who has in-depth knowledge, relevant experience, and the right connections within the facility management arena. I am confident that together with GSD, we will go beyond success.”
When installing ArchiFM, it creates a digital twin to the building by mapping the physical elements and the dynamics of the operation. With clear visibility on the workflow and on the relevant events triggering them, building owners and facility managers can achieve significant cost savings. The software also connects to smart meters and is able to collect, retain, and analyze data that helps optimize energy consumption and consequently results in energy cost savings. “Establishing a footprint in the world that is home to some of the Earth’s tallest buildings opens up unprecedented opportunities for Tungsram,” added Ferenc Pongracz, GM of Innovation at Tungsram Group. “We trust that our partners will find it beneficial to immerse in all the innovation that we can offer them.”
“ArchiFM not only manages the largest public building in Hungary, but they are also present in the banking sector, healthcare, in the oil and gas sector, and on various university campuses,” says GSD GM Mostafa Mohamed as he concludes why they have decided to partner up with ArchiFM. “Being a flagship software company in the region, our goal is to continue to support our customers’ digital transformation. ArchiFM is a very strong product with notable European references that our customers and system integrators will surely find enticing.”
